• My name is Patrick Clancy and I am the Assistant Store Manager at Choices Natural Food Market in South Surrey. I'm writing this note to let you know that South Surrey/White Rock has a new and exciting place to let your stress go and to pamper yourself wonderfully - Aru Spa.

My wife and I had the excellent opportunity to partake in the spa offerings and were extremely impressed. The valet parking, front door reception and interior design were flawless. The Japanese tub and couple massage hit the spot for these two recently new parents.

Taryn and I fully enjoyed our treatments on saturday at your White Rock spa. That steam room literally shed any stress I had completely away within minutes. Great ambiance throughout, and you can tell so much work went into every detail. It was perfect!

If you know Aaron or Derek, you can fully see their personality throughout the facility, with the products, design and even colors. I love how it was equally appealing to me being a male, as it was to my girlfriend. Neutral and just really calming. It's really nice to have a beautiful spa to visit that is outside of Vancouver.

• An Afternoon at Aru

My partner gifted me an afternoon at Aru. I had a Swedish massage, a facial and a pedicure. In between, wrapped in a plush terrrycloth robe I lounged around their inviting relaxation room (cushions, throw pillows, mellow lighting) with a goblet of pristine water infused with cucumber. I also luxuriated in their steam bath.

My massage therapist, estetician and nailist was wonderful (she was multi-talented in doing all my services) and the rest of the staff was caring and attentive. They poured me a glass of red wine during my pedicure. The facility itself is impeccable, very contemporary and intriguing to the eye.

Although the day was a present to me I sneaked a look at the price list and found it very competitive.
